What does “SHORE UP!” stand for?
SHORE UP! is an acronym for "Self-Help On Rural Economics and Urban Problems."
How do I get to SHORE UP! Inc.?

Where is SHORE UP! located?
Our main office is located at 520 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, Maryland 21804.  To contact us call 410-749-1142.
What are your business hours?
Our main office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The main office is usually closed for the following holidays:
New Year’s Day
Martin King, Jr., Day
Good Friday
Memorial Day
Fourth of July
Labor Day
Columbus Day
Thanksgiving and the day after
Veterans’ Day
Christmas and the day after

However, some programs operate on some of these holidays.
How do I apply for services?
Agency applications are available for pickup at any of our locations or you are welcome to complete a brief form to have someone contact you.
Is there a charge for any program or service?
No, except for two programs:  (1) Adult Day Services, where the costs are usually covered by other programs the participants are in (such as from the VA, Medicaid, etc.) or provided for with grants; and (2) Residential Services.  Please contact these programs if you are interested but cannot pay; there may be grants available.
Where can I park?
Along the side of the main office there is a visitor lot exclusively for SHORE UP! Inc.’s customers.  You may also park in any spot that is not marked “Staff Parking.”
How are SHORE UP! projects and services funded?
SHORE UP! is a non-profit organization whose funding primarily comes from federal grants and state grants.  We also receive funding from local governments and private foundations, as well as donations.  See one of the Annual Reports, under Newsroom for more details.
Can I apply for more than one program at the same time?
Usually.  Some programs have limits on how many times they can serve someone in a certain time period, but please apply again if you need further assistance.
Is my name, address, phone number or any other information sold to anyone?
Absolutely not.  Any information about you or your family is strictly confidential and only accessible to staff who need to get that information in order to assist you. 
What if I am not satisfied with the service I receive?
Please contact the administrator of the program from which you received services.  If  you do not know who this is, the operator can tell you when you call SHORE UP! at 410-749-1142.  Also, you can send a complaint in writing.
